LOKAHI LAHAINA
Ke Akua. Kanaka. Aina.

Vision for Lahaina
For generations, the people of Lahaina have shared a deep connection to the land, the ocean, and one another.
The fire in August 2023 brought unimaginable loss to our beloved town. Yet even in the midst of that loss, we believe there is hope for Lahaina's future. We are aiming to thoughtfully cultivate a community where our people, families, and local businesses can flourish for generations to come.
Lokahi Lahaina is a small part of that greater vision. Built on the Hawaiian principle of lōkahi, we seek to honor the harmony and interdependence of Ke Akua (God), Kanaka (people), and ʻĀina (land). These relationships guide how we approach development, stewardship, and the responsibility we share toward one another.
We believe that building a better future begins with knowing who we are, honoring those who came before us, and working together with humility, purpose, and aloha.
Our hope is to create a place that genuinely serves Lahaina, strengthens our local community and economy, and warmly welcomes those who come to experience and appreciate this place we call home.
Ke Akua. Kanaka. ʻĀina. Lōkahi.

Current Development
Lokahi Lahaina is being thoughtfully developed as a village of locally owned businesses, shared spaces, and opportunities for meaningful community connection.
Our approach prioritizes long-term relationships, complementary businesses, and spaces that serve the everyday needs of West Maui. We are intentionally bringing together a diverse group of tenants who share a commitment to quality, stewardship, and the well-being of our community.

Grocery
A neighborhood health food store offering fresh, wholesome foods and quality natural products. Our aim is to support a diverse network of Maui farmers and food producers while giving West Maui families better access to organic produce, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and the foods they love.
Office
Flexible office environment fostering creativity, excellence, and aloha. Spaces are limited and businesses are thoughtfully curated to create a cohesive whole.
Light Industrial
Home to makers, creators, and fighters. Very limited supply of flexible units with diverse but complementary locally owned businesses.
Community Center
We're creating a welcoming space for people to gather, share meals, learn, worship and spend time together in a variety of ways. Plans include youth programs, faith-based gatherings, cultural workshops and education, live music, and other activities that bring our community together. We also plan to host regular events throughout the development, organized by Lokahi Lahaina, our tenants, and local partners. Whether it's sharing a meal, enjoying local music, or coming together to serve our neighbors in a way that makes a difference, we want these spaces to be a blessing to the people of West Maui.
Sustainability
We want Lokahi Lahaina to reflect our responsibility to care for the land and use its resources wisely. From our use of mass timber construction to water conservation, native and drought-tolerant landscaping, and energy-efficient systems, we're making choices with the long-term health of our community and environment in mind. Our commitment also extends beyond the property itself. We support local nonprofits doing important work to mālama our ʻāina through reforestation, coastline protection, and other conservation efforts. Our hope is to build something that will serve Lahaina well for generations while doing our part to care for the island we call home.
Local Business
Locally owned businesses have always been a core part of the heart and character of Lahaina. We want to do our part to help them succeed by creating practical, well-designed spaces, building strong and lasting relationships with our tenants, and bringing together businesses that support one another.
Our hope is to give local families and entrepreneurs the opportunity to establish themselves, grow, and build something lasting here, keeping more of the opportunities and benefits of a healthy local economy within our own community.
